[Previous entry: "Beastly (and other) pleasures"] [Next entry: "A tale of two islands"]

Friday, December 24th 2010 : "Merry Christmas!"

I'd hoped to write a full diary entry before Christmas. Lots has happened since the last one, after all - a wonderful week in the Asa Wright Nature Centre, Trinidad, following a mammoth expedition to London with ice, snow, two broken-down trains and a rescue by a friendly taxi-driver. (If anyone knows a Man U-supporting taxi-driver from Dagenham, who drove 2 desperate people to Gatwick and shared his supper with them, then buy him a pint from us). But Christmas preparations have caught up on me. Watching my eldest grand daughter perform in local panto took priority! So all that will have to wait until next time. Have a wonderful holiday, with time for stories, great food and good friends.
